Canvey Island Football Club have organised a fundraiser for Head of Media and lifelong supporter Glen Eckett, following a sudden illness that has seen him hospital bound since just before Christmas.
Glen has been a devoted Canvey fan for many years, often seen home and away backing the club at the head of the Yellow Army.
In more recent years, he has worked tirelessly as our Media Official, and his work for the club cannot be understated, as he took on administration of the clubs website, social media channels, programme editing and result archiving.
In the last few seasons, he established a team of volunteers to help ease the weight of these responsibilities in order to help give more focus to his young family and career.
Unfortunately, just before Christmas, Glen was admitted to hospital and underwent emergency surgery to see to a serious infection - something that has left him hospital bound and in minimal consciousness ever since.
We are kindly asking all supporters, and those who know Glen and his family, to please donate what you can to help support his family in this extremely difficult time.
