The club are pleased to announce the return of Michael Finneran to the Gulls. Finner's will return to the club in the role of player/coach. We are delighted that Michael has returned to the club where he had so many seasons as a fans favourite, a true Canvey boy.

Michael Says on his return:
It’s an opportunity I simply couldn’t turn down.

To be back at Canvey means a lot to me for obvious reasons but to play for Peter again it’s just a perfect match.

The fans here are simply first class who generate great atmosphere at Park Lane but also travel in numbers away too. I look forward to seeing and hearing them all again, especially the crazy mob in the shed!

There is not many better managers out there and for him to turn to me again after playing for him previously, means a lot.

He is a manager with unbelievable experience and knowledge but an even better person.

I look forward to working alongside Thommo’ in the youth department, hoping to build a pathway for the young gulls to progess into first team football.
