On Tuesday 25th January, we will make the short trip to Maldon & Tiptree as we take them on in the Pitching In Isthmian North Division, kick-off 19:45.
Well, who can forget the match on Saturday? I think we are still recovering... We found ourselves 2-0 down to an impressive Barking side, but the Gulls fought back in a dramatic final 7 minutes to win 3-2! This was a tremendous comeback, and one that we will not forget in a hurry. We have another tough test ahead of us, and this should be another cracking match as we hope to strengthen our position at the league summit.
The Jammers come into this match following a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Hashtag United on Friday night. The Jammers currently occupy 12th position, and have played a number of games less than the teams around them. Maldon boss, Wayne Brown has temporarily departed the Jammers as he takes on the role of head coach at Sky Bet League 2 side, Colchester United.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with Canvey Island Football Club a safe journey to and from the match. The players and staff massively appreciate the superb support so far this campaign. The noise that the Yellow Army generates is phenomenal.
