On Saturday 26th March, we will make the trip to Norfolk to take on Dereham Town in the Pitching In Isthmian North Division, 3pm kick-off.
We come into this match following a dramatic 1-1 draw at home to AFC Sudbury on Tuesday night. AFC Sudbury took the lead in the 62nd minute, but Elliott Ronto rescued a point in the 92nd minute as we push for the title. We are currently in 2nd position after 32 matches. Aveley are 2 points above us and level on games. Whereas Stowmarket are 1 point behind ourselves in 3rd position, having played 2 games less. This league is more competitive than ever, and we are expecting plenty of twists and turns in the remaining 6 matches.
The Magpies sit in 7th position, just 1 point off the playoff places and 3 points off 4th. They come into this match following a 2-0 win at home to Barking on Tuesday night.
Ourselves and Dereham last met back in December when we lost 1-0 at Park Lane.
Dereham Town are kindly accepting donations to be sent to Ukraine between 1pm & 3pm on Saturday. Items such as pasta, rice, protein bars, boxes of cereal and bottled water will be accepted. If you would like to contribute, then this will be very much appreciated in uncertain times. Let's all do our bit to help.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with the Gulls a safe journey to and from the game, and we hope you enjoy your afternoon.
