On Saturday 16th October, we will welcome Aveley to Park Lane as we compete in the Isthmian North Division, kick-off 3pm.
The Gulls enter this fixture as league leaders following an emphatic 4-2 win at Barking on Tuesday night. It was great to see that many Gulls fans braved the cold and rain to make plenty of noise for the team. We are very appreciative of your fantastic support so far this season, thank-you.
The Millers currently occupy 7th position, and find themselves just 1 point off the playoffs in what's proving to be a competitive season. The Millers have an impressive squad, which includes a few familiar faces, such as George Sykes & Marlon Agyakwa. Both of these made many appearances for the Gulls and we look forward to welcoming them back to Park Lane.
The Millers last fixture was on Saturday, when they lost 2-1 at home to Uxbridge in the Buildbase FA Trophy Second Qualifying Round.
The last time ourselves and Aveley met was during the 2019/20 season where we drew 1-1 at Park Lane. This result was eventually expunged due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Glen Eckett caught up with Mark Bentley on Tuesday night to ask him his thoughts on this match: "It'll be a really tough game. Obviously Aveley are maybe favourites for the league. We are still unbeaten and we've got a run to continue. We are now top of the league and how long can we stay there for? People are going to come to us with confidence, and Canvey's a place where teams want to play. We need to be ready, we need to recover and see what we have squad wise. Hopefully we will come through unscathed."
We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with Aveley a safe journey and an enjoyable afternoon.

Clubhouse Information
The Premier League's 12:30 kick-off will be televised between Watford and Liverpool.
As previously mentioned; following the changes to the governments COVID restrictions, face coverings will now be optional when moving through our clubhouse. Our preference would be that people continue to wear masks, and we would encourage their use, although we will not be enforcing this.
The seating policy within the clubhouse has also been removed, meaning that supporters can sit or stand wherever they choose. We will however be maintaining the queuing system at the bar to purchase drinks.
