

Canvey Island got off to a bad start with Dulwich opening the scoring in the fourth minute. Sol Baugh burst down the left side and cut into the box and found Antony Jeffrey who found the bottom corner. They nearly added a second in the 13th minute when a throw in found Amadou Kassarate who then set up Baugh but was kept out by a fine save from Canvey Keeper Freddie Norman.
On the half hour Baugh had another opportunity but again Freddie Norman made the save. Before half time Calum Newsum had a head saved by Toby Bull and so at the break it was 1-0 to the visitors.
In the second half the effects of Storm Dave made the playing conditions for difficult for both sides but Canvey Island had the better of the play a and came close in the 72nd minute when the Dulwich keeper was confused by the wind and nearly conceded. In the 84th minute a Canvey corner caused carnage in the box and after a scramble Kenedi Dariri fired home to give the Gulls a well deserved point.
Canvey travel to Billericay on Monday where their fate could be sealed.
