On Saturday Canvey Island travel to The Dripping Pan to take on Lewes in the Isthmian Premier League. Both teams have been on a poor run of form in recent weeks with the Rooks losing 4-1 at Dartford whilst the Gulls had a very disapointing 3-1 defeat at home to Hashtag United. .
Travel to Lewes:
The Dripping Pan is easily accessible by rail, with Lewes Train Station a one-minute walk away. You can also catch the bus from Brighton and Eastbourne and be at the Pan in no time!
We encourage supporters to use public transport where possible. This both reduces congestion around the Dripping Pan and Mountfield Road area, and helps reduce pollution in Lewes.
If you do plan to drive to a game, the A27 and A26 connect the town in all directions. Mountfield Road car park is a pay-and-display site, while nearby street parking is limited.
The Dripping Pan is at the very start of Mountfield Road, directly behind the station. If you are coming from the north or west, turn off the A27 for Lewes and turn right (signposted Rodmell and Piddinghoe) after about a mile at the first set of traffic lights, adjacent to the prison.
Follow that road until you get to a mini-roundabout by The Swan pub and turn left. Continue along this road and over the mini-roundabout straight into Mountfield Road, where the ground is on your right-hand side.
Be aware that parking during matchdays is very limited and we encourage fans to take public transport, cycle or walk instead.
