Canvey Island secured their Isthmian Premier League safety for another season despite losing 2-1 to Dulwich Hamlet at Champion Hill.
With Hendon only managing a 3-3 draw against Chatham Town, this result wasn't enough to keep up Hendon with both Hastings United and Bognor Regis also relegated after the day's results.
In front of a 2000 plus crowd, Gulls made a great start to the game taking the lead after 11 minutes.
Connor Hubble had already fired over from a free kick before Bradley Sach found space in the penalty area and curled a shot home past Dylan Berry.
Jimmy Wallace cleared off of the line for Canvey a few minutes later and on 31 minutes a Hubble corner found Finley Dorrell but he headed off target.
The second half saw Dulwich come more into the game and dominate possession.
Darren Foxley was twice off target with a couple of efforts and Bobby Mason had to be alert to smother a loose ball after initially parrying a cross.
Dulwich grabbed an equaliser on 71 minutes when Amaru Kaunda fired low into the corner of the net.
The game swung in Canvey's favour on 80 minutes when Arj Krasniqi was sent off for Dulwich for a second yellow card for time wasting.
It was Hamlet though who ultimately won the game in the last few minutes when the referee awarded a penalty after a challenge in the box.
Luke Wanadio stepped up and although Mason dived the right way he was unable to keep his spot kick out.
Despite the defeat, results went well elsewhere for Canvey who find themselves safe from relegation with two games left.
