Canvey Island look to extend their 2024 home form to 3 wins from 3 when they host Folkestone Invicta on Tuesday evening in the Isthmian League Premier.

Our Opponents

Invicta have endured a mixed season in their Isthmian Campaign so far, with poor form seeing them slide towards the drop zone before the turn of the new year. The resulting decline in form cost management duo Michael Everitt and Roland Edge their jobs - the second such managerial turnover for Folkestone in as many seasons, though albeit for different reasons.

Andy Drury has stepped into the hotseat following on from a player/coach role and under his guidance, his side have steadied the ship, with Invicta currently unbeaten in 2024. Their last outing saw them claim another vital point on the road as they played out a goalless draw with Haringey Borough.

Revamping his line up has been one thing Drury seems to have prioritised since he took reigns, with new signings like Tom Derry, Jason Fregene and Eddie Allsopp given a new dimension to his side in their quest to push up the table.

This is out first meeting with Folkestone this season. Our last encounter came on our final away day of last season, with the Gulls running our 3-1 winners on the road thanks to goals from Luca Albon, Evans Kouassi and Bradley Sach.

Canvey meanwhile, will be looking to extend their winning run at home to 3 in 3 following on from a 3-2 win last time out against Kingstonian.

Bradley Sach, Conor Hubble and Luca Albon all got on the scoresheet as they Gulls gave themselves some breathing room over the lower half of the table, with the teams next objective looking to push up towards the top 10.

Postponements have frustrated them however and like many on grass in the league last weekend, they saw their game against Horsham frozen off (the game is now rescheduled for March 12th).
