Canvey Island make the long midweek trip to the South Kent coast on Tuesday as they travel to Hastings United in the Isthmian League Premier.

This is a rearranged fixture at the third attempt after our hosts first progressed in the FA Trophy before having County Cup duties to fulfil last month.

The Us were, like ourselves, promoted last season after they won the Isthmian Division 1 South East by an astounding 13 points.
They've settled well into life at Step 7 again, sitting comfortably in upper mid-table at the time of writing. Their last result saw them take a point away from home as they played out a goalless draw with Bognor Regis Town on Saturday

The Gulls meanwhile, got back to winning ways as they dispatched Folkestone Invicta 3-0 at the Moviestarr Stadium on Saturday, Bradley Sach notching a hat-trick to bag the three points.

This will our 11th meeting in all competitions for the Us. Our last meeting came over 9 years ago in the Ryman League as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw late in the season. Harrison Chatting was the Canvey goalscorer on the day.

As the team continues to keep momentum at the top end of the Isthmian Premier, we thank you all for your incredible support so far this season. It certainly dosen't go unnoticed by the squad and certainly won't be on a night such as this one.
