Canvey Island continue their promotion challenge on Saturday as they make one last trip to London to take on Kingstonian in the Isthmian League Premier.

Supporters Note - Kingstonian play their home matches at Imperial Fields, the home of Tooting & Mitcham United.

The Ks have endured a challenging season in the league thus far, with the club currently sitting just above the relegation zone in 18th place, as new manager Simon Lane looks to stear his side to another year in the Isthmian League Premier.

They have shown signs of improvement under his tenure however, particularly last Saturday as they recorded a huge 3-1 win away at Folkestone Invicta to bolster their survival chances going into the last four games.

The Gulls meanwhile, still have everything to play for themselves, and kept in contention for a shot at the title last weekend as they recorded a 2-0 victory away at Wingate & Finchley.

Bradley Sach and Conor Hubble got the Canvey goals on the day, with results elsewhere meaning they are within just two points of 1st place Bishop’s Stortford, and currently with a superior goal difference.

Going into the game, the Gulls could secure a playoff spot at the very least should they win on Saturday, with a 10 point gap between themselves and 6th place Cray Wanderers. With two of the top five playing each other on Saturday too, the incentive for another win on the road is massive.

This will our 28th competitive meeting with Kingstonian. The reverse fixture at the Moviestarr Stadium saw Canvey secure a comfortable 3-0 victory, Bradley Sach (2) and Conor Hubble the goalscorers on the day.

With just four games remaining and everything still to play for, this weekends double header will be a huge test for the team to stake a claim at promotion.
Your support away from home last weekend was magnificent, and we hope to see the Yellow Army out in numbers again as we make another trip to the capital.
