Canvey Island continue their busy February with a midweek trip to North London, as they take on Haringey Borough in the Isthmian League Premier.

Borough have endured a season of mixed fortunes, and inconsistencies in form see's them sitting in 15th place at the time of writing, though 12 points clear of the relegation zone.
Their last outing was one they'll want to forget in a hurry however, as they succumb to a 5-2 home defeat to Bognor Regis Town on Saturday, the Rocks leapfrogging them in the table in the process.

The Gulls meanwhile, suffered a disappointing first defeat in six games on Saturday, as they went down 2-1 to local rivals Billericay Town. Results around them meant that they slipped out of the playoff places and down to 7th, though they still maintain 2 games in hand on Cray Wanderers in 5th.
Conor Hubble got Canvey's consolation goal on the day, his 6th of the league campaign.

This will be our 6th meeting with the Borough in all competitions. The reverse fixture at the Moviestarr Stadium saw the two sides play out a 1-1 draw on a drizzled September evening, Canvey's goal coming courtesy of a Rakim Richards own goal.

With the hunt for the playoffs now squeezing tight around them, the Gulls will need to show the kind of excellent bounce-back-ability that they've previously displayed after recent defeats.

Despite the fact that the game falls of Valentines Day, there will be no love lost on the pitch however as both sides battle for points for different reasons. We hope that the Yellow Army can can travel in their usual, beautiful numbers to give the squad the love they need to grab a win!
