With the recent cold weather already having effected our fixture on Saturday and another freezing night forecast for Monday, we will be checking the pitch tomorrow morning before an assessment from the referee in the afternoon.
Should this render the pitch unplayable, we will update supporters immediately.

Regent have endured a tough first half to the season with just 2 league wins to their name so far. They currently sit bottom of the table at the time of writing.
Their last outing in the league saw them succumb to a 2-1 defeat away at Corinthian Casuals in a big match at the basement end of the table. Like ourselves, their game on Saturday fell victim to the weather.

The Gulls last outing meanwhile, saw them draw 1-1 away at Hastings United last Tuesday evening, Bradley Sach the Canvey goalscorer on the night.

This will be just our 3rd competitive meeting with Regent. It's also the first reverse fixture of the season, with the Gulls securing their first win of the season at North Road in an superb 5-1 victory. Evans Kouassi (2), Danny Parish (2) and Luca Albon got their Canvey goals on an evening with weather the polar opposite to what we're currently experiencing!

Whilst it may have been heartbreak for England on Saturday in the FIFA World Cup, there is still plenty of reason for optimism for the Gulls of late, with the team still riding high in the table and keeping pressure on the playoff places in their first season back at Step 7 in five years.
