The Bay were, like ourselves, promoted to the Isthmian Premier last season after winning the playoffs in the Division 1 South East. However, they've found life at the higher level hard to adapt to thus far, currently sitting second from bottom in the table at the time of writing. Their last game was on Tuesday night, where they were defeated 3-2 at home by Carshalton Athletic.

The Gulls meanwhile, pulled off another impressive home against one of the promotion contenders in the division, defeating Bishop’s Stortford 2-0 at the Moviestarr Stadium. Bradley Sach and Evans Kouassi scored the vital goals.

This will be the first ever competitive meeting between the two clubs. Our only previous encounter of any kind came in a friendly match back in 2019, where the home side emerged 2-1 winners on a hot day in late July.

With the team just outside the playoff places at the time of writing and having won two huges matches before this one, we hope many of our loyal supporters can make the jounrey down as we look to make it three from three.
