Canvey Island were made to settle for their second 1-1 draw in four days, as they were held by Tilbury at the Steves Taxi's Stadium on Tuesday evening.

It was the visitors who broke the deadlock early on, with former Gull Sam Bantick capitalising on a mix up at the back to put the Dockers ahead.

Canvey's best chance of the half came from Ewan Sanchez, with the midfielder unleashing a fierce strike thay clattered the woodwork.

In the second half, a raft of changes saw momentum swing in Canvey's favour, and they eventually found the equaliser late in the game as a trialist curled home an effort.

The Gulls now have just one more pre season match remaining for the season's curtain raiser away at Chichester City.
