This afternoon saw Canvey win 3-2 against an impressive Hornchurch side.

In the 7th minute, a superb through ball by a trialist found Kouassi. A ball into the box found Harrison Chatting who fired in a shot that took a deflection and got past the keeper. A great 1-0 to the Gulls!

In the 30th minute, a corner from the visitors was played short and weaved into Ronnie Winn, who fired a good shot from a tight angle that Mason couldn't deal with. 1-1!

A clearance found Kouassi in the centre. He had the vision to feed a great ball through to Matt Price, taking the ball from near the half way line. On his own he curled a superb finish past the visiting keeper. 2-1 to the Gulls!

The referee called a fail just beyond the half way line for Hornchurch, this was dealt with well in the middle by Kouassi who steamed through and another goal for Canvey. 3-1 to the Gulls!

Finally, a goal to Hornchurch after a move into the box in the 87th minute saw some good intricate play between the Hornchurch attackers, finished off with a nice little chip from a trialist. 3-2!
