After several departures in the last few weeks, Brad Wellman has moved quickly to bring in both new and returning additions ahead of the 24/25 season:

Bobby Mason
Goalkeeper Bobby Mason returns to the club after a season away at Sittingbourne in the Isthmian League South East, helping them to secure a place in the playoffs - his third playoff appearance in as many seasons!

He needs little introduction to the Canvey faithful, having made over 100 appearances for the Gulls across three seasons, playing a huge part in our Isthmian North playoff winning campaign and our FA Cup 2nd Round Proper venture the year prior.

We are excited to have him back on board - welcome home Bobby!

Kane Gilbert
Midfielder Kane Gilbert rejoins the club from Essex Senior League side Halstead Town, having previously made 44 appearances for the Gulls in the 18/19 season.

He earned a move to then Isthmian Premier side Brightlingsea Regent the following year, but it is his second stint with Halstead Town where he has shone brightest, scoring an incredible 37 goals last season in an stellar season at the Humbugs.

That goalscoring prowess makes him a talented and tenacious player at this level - welcome back to Canvey Kane!

Finlay Dorrell
Exciting young forward Finlay Dorrell arrives from Romford FC in the Essex Senior League.

It was a season to remember last year for Finlay, playing a big part in a hugely successful season for Romford, in which they made the playoff final, League Cup final - and won the FA Vase at Wembley, where he impressed in front of a national TV audience.

Overall, he scored 20 goals in 39 appearances, garnering big interest from clubs at higher levels, and we excited to get him on board. Welcome to Canvey Finlay!
