We are delighted this evening to announce four new signings to the club as Brad Wellmen turns trialists into first team players and continues to build his side for the upcoming Isthmian Premier season.
Chris Harris
28 year old striker Chris Harris joins the club after last playing for Sittingbourne of the Isthmian League South East in the 23/24 season. He scored an impressive 18 goals in 31 appearances to help the Brickies reach the playoffs.
He has plenty of Step 3 experience too, having been a part of the Bishop’s Stortford side that won the Isthmian Premier title, where he notched 4 goals that season. He also spent time on loan with Cheshunt, for whom he made seven appearances. Bishop’s Stortford signed him from Essex Senior League side Halstead Town.
Ewan Sanchez
20 year old midfielder Ewan Sanchez joins the club after a successful trial period in pre-season.
An exciting prospect, he honed his talents early on in the USA, playing for then Malaga City New York – a US academy branch of Spanish club FC Malaga City. He graduated from the academy to play in the USL II, before moving to the UK for a stint with Albion Rovers in the Scottish Lowland League.
His football journey then took him to Spain to play for CD Almunecar City in the Spanish 6th tier, for whom he played 29 times in the 23/24 season. Evans has been trialing with the Gulls this summer.
Ollie Parsons
20 year old centre back Ollie Parsons joins the club after having previously played for and captained Loughborough University in the United Counties Premier. He has also represented the British Universities side, for whom he also captained. Ollie has been trialing with the Gulls this summer.
Matt Yates
19 year old defender Matt Yates joins the club after having been released by League 2 side Colchester United. Matt has been trialing with us this summer and dual registers at the club with National League South side Chelmsford City.
We welcome Chris, Ewan, Ollie and Matt to the club, and wish them success in their time with the Gulls.
