The road to Wembley continues.

Canvey Island will continue their FA Trophy journey with a trip to Surrey to take on Leatherhead in the Fourth Qualifying Round.

This marks the Gulls’ second step in this season’s historic competition, as they look to build momentum and make a statement early. Leatherhead are no strangers to the Gulls themselves, having spent several years playing against us when they were in the Isthmian Premier League

They currently play in the Isthmian South Central League and are currently first in the division at the time of writing this.

The Tanners entered the competition at the First Qualifying Round stage and have already seen off Raynes Park Vale, Kingstonian and Ramsgate so they will be hoping they can channel the grit and flair that defined those performances into another cup victory.

This game will be our 77th in the FA Trophy since 2000/01. The state of play currently stands at W41, D20 and L15. It gives a win percentage of 67.11%.
