Canvey Island will kick off their FA Cup campaign with an away fixture against Maldon & Tiptree in the First Qualifying Round, scheduled for Saturday, August 30th.

This marks the Gulls’ first step in this season’s historic competition, as they look to build momentum and make a statement early. Maldon & Tiptree, no strangers to cup drama themselves, will be eager to test Canvey’s resolve on home turf.

Maldon entered the competition at the Extra-Preliminary Round stage and have already seen off Buckhurst Hill and Hullbridge Sports so they will be hoping they can channel the grit and flair that defined those performances into another cup victory. The fixture promises intensity, ambition, and the kind of drama only the FA Cup can deliver.

We have already played Maldon once this season, with them having visited Park Lane for a 0-0 pre-season fixture a few weeks ago.
