Canvey Island have been drawn away at Southern League Division 1 Central side Biggleswade FC in the Emirates FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round.
FC were originally established from neighbours Biggleswade Town's U18s side in 2016, entering the Spartan South Midlands League before working their way up to Step 4 of the Non League Pyramid. Since then, they've been a consistent name in the Southern League, and won their first Bedfordshire Senior Cup last season after beating AFC Dunstable in the final.
That same opponent is who Biggleswade defeated in the 2nd Qualifying Round last Saturday to reach this stage of the cup, having previously defeated Stansted, London Lions and Basildon United in previous rounds.
The two sides have met in the cup before, with the Gulls taking on FC at Park Lane on their march to the 2nd Round Proper in 2020. Due to covid regulations at the time, a 2-2 draw was decided on penalties, where the Gulls advanced after winning the shootout.
With Biggleswade groundsharing at Bedford Town, this game will take place on Sunday 29th September, with a 3:00pm kick off scheduled.
We will have further details on this fixture when available.
