Canvey Island have been handed a home tie against Spartan South Midlands Premier Division side Milton Keynes Irish in the 1st Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

The Irish were formed in 2020 as a merger of Milton Keyes Robins, United MK and Milton Keynes Irish Veterans. They come into this round of the cup having first knocked out Welwyn Garden City before travelling to the Island in the 2nd Preliminary Round, where they defeated our neighbours Concord Rangers 3-1 at Thames Road.

This fixture will mark a first ever meeting between the two clubs. The tie will take place on Saturday 31st August at the Steves Taxis Stadium.
