Bradley Sach Departs

Jonathan Andrews30 May 2024 - 12:22

Prolific striker moves on

We can confirm that striker Bradley Sach has unfortunately decided to depart the club to take on a new opportunity.

Last season’s Player Of The Season, Sach joined the club from neighbours Bowers & Pitsea midway through the 21/22 season, and made an immediate impact at the club as he scored 10 goals in our charge for promotion from the Isthmian North.

He'd form an impressive partnership with Evans Kouassi the following season, scoring an incredible 23 goals as he helped Canvey battle for a second successive promotion. He showed his quality last season too, taking on a lead striker roll in an injury fraught season for much of the squad, scoring a further 16 goals to finish the clubs top scorer for the 23/24 season.

All in all, the striker racked up 107 appearances for the Gulls, scoring 49 goals.

Manager Brad Wellmen, had this to say of Sach’s time at the club:
“Unfortunately Bradley Sach has decided to move on, (having) received an offer from another club that is to good of an opportunity for him to turn down.

For two and a half years now, Sachy has been the focal point of our attack & was instrumental in our push to the play-offs 22/23 season & led the way with 23 goals! Throughout the last 2 years, he has turned down alot of opportunities to move on during the season, but he has shown loyalty & respect to the club & stayed.

He will be a big player to replace, but I'd like to thank him for all his efforts, commitment & loyalty throughout the last two and a half seasons, and his record of 49 goals / 107 appearances is a fantastic achievement.

I know he will have success with his next move & I wish him nothing but the best in his new chapter”.

The club would like to place on record it’s thanks to Sachy for all his efforts and the club and wish him the very best of the luck with the next stage of his football career.
