Canvey Island Youth Under 11s maintained their undefeated record thanks to a deserved 3-0 success against Chalvedon.

Canvey went one nil up after ten minutes when Harry Clarke crossed from the right and Ronny Baker cooly controlled the ball and slotted it under the advancing keeper for his fifth goal in two games.

They should have doubled their lead when a Jack Cook centre was headed into their own net by a Chalvedon defender. Somehow the referee and linesman contrived to rule the goal out for offside. However Canvey were not to be denied when  Sam Jordan ran on to through ball and beat the keeper from close range.

Canvey were dominant by now and the icing on the cake of an excellent half was complete when Josh Gardiner scored from a free kick just outside of the box.

The second half was also a story of Canvey dominating play and just allowing Chalvedon the occasional chance on the break. The Canvey defence however continued their superb rich vein of form to chalk up another clean sheet.
