Jake signed for Canvey towards the end of the 2014/15 season, initially as a central midfielder but started playing right back the following campaign.

Overall he made 146 appearances for the club, winning the Supporters' Player of The Year award in 2016 and the Manager's Player of The Year award in 2018.
