Bowers & Pitsea 0-2 Canvey Island

First half goals from Sam Higgins and Ryan Charles earned Canvey Island a place in the Bostik North playoff final, winning 2-0 away to Bowers & Pitsea in the semi-final.

In front of a crowd of 567, Higgins headed the Gulls ahead on 31 minutes when he headed home a Mitchell Gilbey cross from the right wing.

Ryan Charles made it 2-0 in first half injury time, and while the hosts pushed for a route back into the game in the second half they were unable to break down a resilient Canvey defence.

We will now travel to face Haringey Borough in the final on Sunday after they saw off Heybridge Swifts by the same scoreline in the other semi-final.
