Must-See Events In The Sporting Calendar

As the World Cup is long over, and you will have more than a year to wait until Euro 2020, you’ll more than likely be looking for the next best sporting event. If so, you’ll be happy to know you can take your pick from superb sporting events throughout the year.

If you love all form of sports from football to golf, check out the following top sporting events to add onto your bucket list in 2019.

The End of the Premier League Season

For those football fanatics, there is the end of the Premier League Season, which will this year take place on 19th May.

While Liverpool might be riding high in the league table at the moment, the club faces tough competition from Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, who are doing everything they can to grab as many points as possible.

It’s bound to be an intense few months, especially for fans in the north of England, who will each have a firm stance on who will win the Premier League Cup in 2019.

Wimbledon – London, England

Wimbledon isn’t your average tennis tournament. The historic event is one of the most hotly anticipated annual competitions in the sport, welcoming some of the most talented tennis stars on the planet onto its court, from Roger Federer and Serena Williams to Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova.

Offering immaculate grounds, an extensive sporting history, and many punnets of strawberries and cream, it is one sporting experience you’re unlikely to ever forget.

The Masters – Augusta, Georgia, USA

There isn’t a golf fan or player in the world who doesn’t dream of walking onto Augusta National Golf Club’s hallowed turf, especially during The Masters, which is one of four major championships in professional golf.

If you know your dagger putters from your PXG 0317 x Gen2 hybrids, you’ll want to attend The Masters at least once in your lifetime. However, it is difficult to secure tickets to the world-famous spectator sport, as there are limited places up for grabs.

There are, however, four ways to secure tickets to the golfing championship:

1. Receive tickets from a patron (they can provide friends and family members with tickets)
2. From a ticket agency (dig deep into your pockets)
3. From a ticket tout (It’s only legal 500 yards from the event site)
4. A public, random lottery

Super Bowl – USA

One event that blows all others out of the water is, of course, the Super Bowl. The sporting spectacular not only brings together the two best teams in the NFL season, but it also offers a fun-filled half-time show, which is almost as exciting as the game itself.

This year fans can absorb themselves in the Super Bowl LIII, which will see the Los Angeles Rams face the New England Patriots, but you’ll be hard-pressed to secure tickets to the final annual championship game. To secure a seat for 2020, you’ll need to book tickets and hotels many months in advance.

NBA Finals

You cannot class yourself as an avid sports fan until you’ve attended an NBA final. You’ll watch the sport’s finest athletes aim to master the court to become NBA Champions, which will be spread out across seven intense, entertaining games.

To help alleviate some of the tension in the room, you can expect:

• Cheerleaders
• Musical performances
• T-shirts being fired out of canons
• Dancers
• Competitions

To score a ticket, you’ll need to register on the NBA ticket exchange on your chosen NBA team’s site before the playoffs.
