Fun Sunday!
The club held it's "Sunday Funday" on Sunday, 9th July 07, at a hot and sunswept Park Lane. The event, the first of it's kind that the club has attempted, was a massive success, and we would like to thank everybody that bought a table, gave their time, and the hundred's of local people who came along to support what was a great day.

Referees Course
In 2007, every participant in the course passed and became registered referees with Essex F.A. They were each presented with £150 worth of kit to help them in the new season.

Canvey Island FC have teamed up with The Essex FA and Essex County Council's Youth Development Fund to provide a great opportunity for young people in the local area who are interested in becoming an FA Qualified Referee.

Through a grant obtained through the Youth Development Fund by CIFC Supporters Club, a referee course has been arranged for 15 young people aged between 14 and 19 years old.

Upon passing the course, each newly qualified referee will be presented with a full referee starter kit worth over £150, providing all the equipment necessary to put their new found skills into action.

The course will be completely funded by Canvey Island FC Supporters Club through the grant from Essex County Council, therefore meaning that cost will not be obstacle in the way of developing referees in South East Essex.
